How does a liver form, grow and repair itself throughout mammalian life?
Welcome to the home of the Liver Growth and Cancer Lab, located at the MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh. We are interested in how the mechanisms that control liver formation in the embryo, are investigating whether these processes are used by the adult to repair damaged tissue and are trying to understand whether liver cancers use these cues to grow.
